Powering On your EKGraph Device

Powering on your EKGraph device is very simple. Simply Press and Hold the PLAY button for 3 Seconds. The LCD screen will light up and the Device will be Ready to record and EKG.

TROUBLESHOOTING:

EKGraph not powering on

PROBLEM: The EKGraph is not powering on even after holding the play button for over 3 seconds.

SOLUTION #1: Device my have a low battery. Please charge your device and try again.

SOLUTION #2: Reset the device by holding the power/play button for 10 seconds. Device will reset and restart and should power back up.

If that doesn’t help please contact us.

Recording your first EKG / ECG

Once Powered On, you will see a flat EKG line on the LCD screen. This means your EKGraph is Ready to Record an EKG. To record a proper “clean” EKG you will need to place your wrists on a flat surface such as a table.

FOR BEST RESULTS: Rest the extremities (hands, feet, chest) that you are recording on a flat surface.

Place your palms or fingers firmly (but not too tight) against the metal sensors located on the left and right side of the device.

You will start seeing an ORANGE wave form tracing line. This means the device is establishing connection and stabilizing your reading.

Continue holding your hands or fingers on the device. In a few seconds the tracing line will become GREEN. This means that the EKG recording has as started and the device is counting down time.

Your first recording will be 10 seconds long. Once the 10 seconds are up the EKGraph will show you an immediate EKG analysis.

You now recorded your FIRST ever EKG on the EKGraph!

TROUBLESHOOTING:

EKGraph not recognizing my hands, fingers, etc

PROBLEM: Your hands/fingers may be too dry and the EKGraph cannot establish a signal. Another problem can be that your hands or device sensors are covered with oil.

SOLUTION: Wipe your hands/fingers and the EKGraph sensors with an alcohol wipe or wet towel.

Can't Record an EKG

PROBLEM: The EKG tracing line stays ORANGE and cannot finish recording an EKG.

SOLUTION 1: You may not be still enough. Try to keep steady. Press firmly but NOT too hard. Rest your Hands on a table if necessary.

SOLUTION 2: See Above: EKGraph not recognizing my hands, fingers, etc

TIP: Your first EKG should be a TEST. It is recommended that you Sync the EKGraph with the SonoHealth App so EKGraph will update it’s date and time to your local time zone

  1. Please add descriptions of what the three sensors are for and more diagrams of what are the recommended locations to take readings of.

Your advertisement shows that you can take readings from other parts of your body but I don’t see that in your manual .

    2. Also would like to change the sensitivity in the app on my iOS device
    3. Also would like to be able to export the data as a csv or XLS format

    1. Hi Craig, thank you for the suggestions!

      1) We are working on making graphics and explanations for other ways to record EKGs.

      2) Our developers are working on implementing this feature. In the meantime you could change the gain and speed inside the desktop software.

      3) Will talk to developers regarding this but I’m not sure this is possible.

      1. it been 7 months and doesn’t seems that diagrams on usage been added, just bought this unit and already starting to regret that.

  2. I agree with the above post. I was hoping to see this information too.

    1. Thank you Rose! We’re working on it, will update you as soon as it’s ready!

  3. It also be nice to be able to put in a “notes” feature in the app so that way I can put in things like which lead I used to take the ekg, or if meds were taken, or what activity triggered an abnormality, etc.

  4. Would like to send multiple readings to the doctor at the same time. Log notes as mentioned above and show which lead was used to obtain the individual readings.

  5. Is there any way to change the normal resting heart rate? I run 2 miles most days, and my normal resting heart rate is 48-55 bpm. All my readings say I have Bradycardia, can we change the setting so that I can see Normal readings unless there is some other problem? Thanks, Larry

    1. Hi Larry, we’re working on an update that will allow users to edit their normal heart rate range. So you would be able to go in edit your normal range from “48-89”. Anything out of that range will trigger a tachy or brady cardia result.

  6. I just purchased your device on Amazon and started using it for the first time today.
I just have one question how do you set the date and time as mine upon start up is showing as January 2015 ?

    1. Hi Michael, the time and date will change automatically after your first sync with the SonoHealth Mobile or desktop app. After the sync the date and time will switch to the time and date of that phone or computer.

      1. What if it doesn’t? Mine isn’t doing it. What now?
        Thanks for the assist.

  7. can you set up more than one file for two people to use the device?

    1. Hi Carolyn,

For now we recommend using the EKGraph with one smartphone/tablet. But we do have customers that are using the EKGraph for multiple users. They simply clear all the data on the EKGraph before giving it to the other user. That way the users doesn’t mix up data as right now the app is only made for a single user. But we are working on figuring out how to officially make the device and app work for multiple users.

  8. The scale of the graph on the printed ECG report is much smaller (4 mm peak-to-peak) than what is shown in the android app, and is missing most of the detail visible in the app rendering of the graph data. How do I communicate what I’m seeing to my physician if the emailed reports don’t capture the detail? Am I missing something? Can I send you what I’m talking about?

  9. It really needs a carry case to protect it in my wife’s purse.

    1. Hi Thomas,

The cases are already in! We will list it on our site in the next few days and you’ll be able to purchase it right away. We’ll shoot everyone an email with a coupon code 🙂

  10. How totally frustrating!!! I can’t get it to sync!!! And apparently I cannot talk to a human to HELP ME!!!

    1. Hi Jeani,

We sent you an email. We apologize, we’re a small company at the moment and can’t afford phone support at the moment. We’re doing our best!

  11. Is your device the same one as sold at Amazon for $79. There seem to be several devices that look exactly the same (imports from China?).

    1. Hi Mike,

Yes our device looks similar, but looks is where it ends.

As a small new company making a new design for the outside shell didn’t seem viable. A mold from scratch costs anywhere from $65,000-$85,000. So our manufacturer allowed us to use their current mold to make the EKGraph.

So even though the outside is similar the software side is totally different. We have new and improved software. There’s also our own SonoHealth app that we developed from scratch.

SonoHealth is a USA company that provides excellent customer support.

      Kindest Regards,
      SonoHealth Team

  12. How long does the first charge take? Can we run the device while it’s plugged in?

    1. Hey, Stephen. My husband just received his EKGraph today. I plugged it in, a corner of the device lit up in orange while charging. It took about 30-45 minutes.

  13. Can I use this with a implanted ICD and have had afib. that I am on meds for.

  14. Is there a way to lengthen the time of the actual ekg? I would like mine to be 20 – 30 seconds vs 10 seconds.

    1. Hi Lori,

In the app to go MENU>SETTINGS>RECORDING TIME and then select your desired recording length.

  15. I changed the length of time to 30 in the app, but it’s not telling the device. What should I do?

    Thanks for the help.

  16. Received my device, used it a couple of times and trying to sync it with my phone. The app seems to be stuck “downloading”. How long should that process take?

  17. Will the device show more than one diagnosis? I usually have bradycardia and I want to know if the device will pick up a second diagnosis such as arrythmia.

    1. Hi Judy,

Yes the EKGraph will show up to 2 diagnosis on the device and up to 3 inside the app (if needed).

So no need to work about bradycardia preventing other important results like Arrhythmia!

  18. Your advertisement shows that you can take readings from other parts of your body (hands, legs, etc and Multiple Leads) but I don’t see that in your manual yet even after 9 moths. It is totally frustrating.

  19. Forgot password and they won’t reply and I can’t get in. Fiws anyone know how?
